Linda & Steve Screen are owners of The Woodland Farm – a local
smallholding growing fruit, salads, veg, cut flowers and woodland products just
2 miles outside of Haverfordwest. We operate without chemicals and using minimal
mechanical inputs.
As inaugural members of Transition Town Dorchester (Dorset)
we were active in running film nights/awareness-raising events and activities
such as earth-oven making, local food market, bread making workshops, setting up
energy projects, working on community transport maps, garden sharing, beginning a
community farm, LETS, seedswap, and community orchard as well as both of us
having Transition Training and attending Transition Conferences. Linda also
worked for the Transition Network in Totnes on funding and governance. Our
smallholding here at The Rhos will help us realise our own Transition journey
and we hope – in the future – to offer activities for people wanting to grow
skills for a low energy future.
